Loading...On Sunday morning, Aug. 28, Good Shepherd, Knoxville, began the new church season with a visit from Bobby Drinnon. For those of you who are not aware of him, Bobby is an intuitive. Some call him a psychic. Regardless, he has the powerful gift of insight into the lives and character of others.
Bobby does not like to speak publicly nor does he desire to promote his gifts. He made an exception because of his special regard for members of our congregation.
The presentation was the first kick-off for the program, “Good Shepherd and the World,” a Sunday school class that introduces different religions, ideas and concepts to our members. In past years, we have had rabbis, professors, and scholars discussing many different faiths and concepts.
Our initial class for the 2012 church year began in the Fellowship Hall with almost 100 people quietly anticipating the first words from Bobby. He spoke softly and was very humble. Energy filled the room as participants listened intently. He told us about his youth and the difficulty he encountered in finding and understanding his talents. A woman named Mary Francis helped him the most. She explained to him that he had “the gift,” and, at that moment, Bobby understood that his life’s mission was to help others understand themselves.
It was a pleasure and an honor to have a person of Mr. Drinnon's sensitivity speak to the members and friends of Good Shepherd.
We have an interesting speaker or program every Sunday at 9:45 a.m. Come join us if you are in town and would like to be intellectually exercised. Our speakers are always interesting and challenging.
