The Health Insurance Committee of the Diocese of East Tennessee invites all active clergy, senior wardens, treasurers and lay employees working at least 30 hours per week, to attend one of two area meetings on November 10, 2011:
11 am at Ascension, Knoxville (lunch included)
4:30 pm at Grace Church, Chattanooga
The focus of these meetings will be on issues confronting congregations in providing health insurance coverage for employees as we approach the December 31, 2012 deadline of the 2009 General Convention Resolution on health insurance.
Our Province IV consultant, the Rev. Rusty McCown will be present to discuss details of a new option that we believe will be of benefit to both participants and churches. This option is called “the high deductible/health savings account (HD/HSA),” but don’t let the name scare you. Come to a meeting and get the full information on HD/HSA compared to the 80/60 and 75/50 options with which most of us are already familiar.
In addition, information about benefits offered in the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will be presented.
McCown will also answer questions about plans and benefits.
The first session will begin at 11 am and will be held at Ascension, 800 South Northshore Dr., Knoxville, with lunch served.
The second meeting will begin at 4:30 pm at Grace Church, 20 Belvoir Ave., Chattanooga.
Please give the number of people who will be attending a meeting to Lynn Lazlo at llazlo@etdiocese.net. If you have questions please contact Diocesan Health Insurance Administrator Laura Nichols at lnichols@etdiocese.net.
Health Plan Open Enrollment is Nov. 7 – Dec. 4.
